Join Al as he builds a beautiful deer food plot in his little part of the woods. His other food plots have yielded many fine whitetails. First thing was to locate an old apple tree and prune it and clear out any foliage around it. Please note that the objective is to help the apple tree produce fruit. Always get permission from the landowner before you take any foliage or trees out. We also trimmed major brush out of the food plot area and after the weather breaks we will remove the bushy stumps closer to the ground. Now is a perfect opportunity to get rid of cabin fever, enjoy a few sunny days and get a head start on spring. Besides the pruning should be done before the tree gets new growth for the year.
